Welcome!

I'm a wife to my "Mr. Right". A momma of five. A maker of slow food and simple living. A collector of memories, a keeper of books, and a champion for books that make memories. An addict who likes my half-and-half with a splash of coffee. A fractured pot transformed by the One Who makes broken things beautiful. I heart homeschooling, brake for libraries, and am glad you're here with me on the journey! Be sure to subscribe to my monthly newsletter. Or, follow along with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google +, Youtube, or Pinterest.

Calling All Writers! The Unlikely Homeschool is expanding and is looking for guest posters and contributing writers.

The Unlikely Homeschool is expanding! I am looking for guest posters and contributing writers.

I get questions from moms from all over the world with very unique circumstances. Because I can only discuss homeschooling from my own perspective and share the tips that have worked for me and my family, I feel that I can't always meet the needs of those in this community. But, maybe you and your story can!

If you are a blogger and would like to grow your readership OR if you're a homeschooling mom without a blog, but with something to say, I need you!

What I'm looking for

I'm looking for one-time guest posters as well as once-a-month contributing writers that can provide practical, encouraging, and well-written content in the following areas

  • Homeschool planning & organization
  • Homeschool methods & styles
  • Curriculum reviews
  • Day-in-the-life-of
  • Tackling homeschool burn-out
  • Affording the homeschool lifestyle
  • Unit Studies
  • Themed "round-ups" of homeschooling and mothering topics
  • Art project tutorials
  • Nature study
  • Whole-foods recipes
  • Natural/holistic living ideas
  • Spiritual growth & development

Please remember that The Unlikely Homeschool is a faith-based homeschooling site with an evangelical Christian point of view. All submissions should reflect (or at least not detract from) the Biblical core values of an Evangelical/protestant faith.

As owner/editor of The Unlikely Homeschool, I reserve the right to edit any submission for grammar, mechanics, and overall readability and the right to refuse any submission that does not meet the overall site standards and faith values.

All content must be original, not published elsewhere, reflect a tone of knowledge and personality, and should contain at least one Pinnable image. (Guest posters who do not currently have a blog and who do not feel qualified to create a pinnable image can submit 2-5 standard photos. One will be edited for you.)

What's in it for you

All featured blog posts will include your name, a short bio, and a link back to your blog and social media accounts when applicable.

Each guest and contributing writer will be paid per post.

In addition, each monthly contributor will have a bio and social media links included on a contributing writer page, be invited to add up to five affiliate links within each post, and be asked to join a group Pinterest board in order to promote posts from within her own site.

Regular monthly contributors whose posts reach certain traffic milestones will also have the opportunity to earn additional bonus income.

  2. This is so interesting the timing of this. I was just telling my husband that I feel God is calling me to start writing again. I went to school for writing but put a 'pausepause' on it to grow and raise a family. We have been so blessed to have seen amazing health changes and shall i say spiritual challenges since starting a strict whole foods diet. I felt like God was guiding me to embrace change not resist it. Anywho. Now the courage to send you a email ;)
