I've been so worried that I wasn't doing this homeschooling mommy thing the right way. Thank you so much for sharing this realistic look at what it's like to educate our little darlings at home.<br />Victoriahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02776891283967563886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7628767515693863152.post-80208361948361703882016-03-29T14:57:27.666-07:002016-03-29T14:57:27.666-07:00Thank you, I will try not to cry at the end of the...Thank you, I will try not to cry at the end of the day when I see I only did math and spelling/vocab. Since I had my third goober I feel that I have neglected schooling and lucky to get one subject in between nursing and fussiness. I have gotten to the point of giving up schooling at home when all I feel I do these days is give them free time. I really don't know how to balance baby and teach. You have five blessings and seem to grasp the balance well which is why I enjoy reading your blog to help give me ideas. I'm impressed by your multi-tasking and your kids doing what they're supposed to. Also good to see that there's lots of play and interaction between siblings - definitely a benefit from homeschooling in my opinion.Kathyhttp://lifereallyblog.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7628767515693863152.post-91644439482043633422016-02-23T05:42:09.659-08:002016-02-23T05:42:09.659-08:00Good question! I also know roughly when my husband will come home for lunch. Mostly what I do is continue the same pattern of activity from day to day. Most subjects generally take about the same amount of time each lesson. And so as long as I can start on time and keep moving forward, we almost always get to everything by quittin' time.Jamie Ericksonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07210544168493409813noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7628767515693863152.post-62798569598341173822016-02-22T21:46:25.669-08:002016-02-22T21:46:25.669-08:00Thanks for sharing! I am curious about your the routine and rhythm for your day - even though you don't have things scheduled minute by minute, do you still have set times for any of the events of your day (other than your 8:30 start time), such as lunch at a specific time? Do you have goals for certain subjects to be completed before snack time or lunchtime, etc?Rebekahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02574471219840565350noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7628767515693863152.post-40834331491722246542016-02-18T20:03:06.374-08:002016-02-18T20:03:06.374-08:00Thanks for sharing your "day in the life.&quo...Thanks for sharing your "day in the life."
