It's so lovely.

I haven't blogged about our reading yet this month, but we're using audio CDs from the library for our readalouds (I'm newly pregnant with our 4th, and the first trimester of pregnancy isn't very conducive to reading aloud this time around). We'll be listening to The Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum and Theodore Boone by John Grisham. My boys (ages 11 and 8) are each working through the Hunger Games trilogy, though at different points in the series for each child. I'm reading "Betting on Hope" for a book review. So that's us :)Wendy @ Ladybug Daydreamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08947545250445857764noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7628767515693863152.post-7178701234429029262015-04-03T19:59:59.144-07:002015-04-03T19:59:59.144-07:00Thank you for the link!

I feel the same way, so probably not the best way to spend the very few personal reading moments that I have. :)Monicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13524889916420694489noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7628767515693863152.post-24636642814133680562015-04-03T15:56:10.030-07:002015-04-03T15:56:10.030-07:00I actually got two chapters in and put it down. I realized that I AM a happy Christian, so the book just seemed really redundant.

Here is a link to a post about how and when I started chapter book read alouds. Two quick questions for you...what did ...Hi, Jamie! Two quick questions for you...what did you think of The Happy Christian? I have it on hold at my library and need to pick up. It sounded interesting so I thought I'd give it a try. Secondly, at what age did you start reading chapter books to your children? I tried to crack one open with my three-year-old, but he just isn't ready for the continuation of a story from one day to the next yet. Do you know about what age that starts to happen? Looks like it'll only be picture books for us for a while longer. Thank you!Monicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13524889916420694489noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7628767515693863152.post-47084589718813570072015-04-03T07:57:52.700-07:002015-04-03T07:57:52.700-07:00Your blog looks great! It's very inspiring and makes me want to be a better reader - a better example to my kids what a reader looks like.
Also, I am reading The Way of the Master by Ray Comfort. For the last few years, I have been trying to track down the name of a book I read to a class of third graders several years ago. I remember the entire class loving it and I have wanted to read it to my kids. But, I just could NEVER remember the name of it. It's Treasures of the Snow!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you. Adding it to my Good Reads list right now.
